2025 Malawi Annual Country Results Report

In 2025, the United Nations Country Team in Malawi supported the country through a year of compounding challenges, including economic pressures, climate shocks, and growing humanitarian needs. Across health, food security, governance, climate resilience, and economic inclusion, the UN's 29 agencies, funds, and programmes delivered alongside Government, civil society, and development partners to reach those most at risk.

The year also brought important structural shifts in policy, data, financing, and in how national systems serve Malawians. These changes reflect a UN presence that goes beyond service delivery to help build the foundations for lasting, inclusive development.
