August 2020 Edition of the Quarterly Newsletter ILO in Zambia, Malawi and Mozambique

The August 2020 Edition of ILO quarterly newsletter brings forth interesting articles amid the COVID-19 outbreak. This edition predominantly features articles on how the Country Office – Lusaka in three locations (Zambia, Malawi and Mozambique) has responded to cushion the impact of the pandemic on governments, employers and workers. Importantly, the edition gives the perspective of the ILO’s response to the pandemic through various measures being put in place to mitigate job losses and the negative impact COVID-19 has had on people’s livelihoods across the globe. It is a well-known fact that the pandemic is far from over. It is even accelerating and spreading in some of the regions.
